Store Manager
Born and raised in Seattle, Marcus describes navigating the rich ethnic diversity as a beautiful experience. Because of that, from Seattle he started to developed a yearning to connect to his Tribe (Swinomish).
Marcus left Seattle in 2012 and moved to the Swinomish Reservation and when the Swinomish Tribe completed the Lodge at the Casino, he was part of the original crew! He worked his way up to a supervisor of both the Housekeeping department and the Lodge Front Desk while completing his bachelor’s degree in Tribal Governance and Business Management at North West Indian College.
Marcus has been the Assistant Manager of Salish coast since the weeks leading up to our 2018 opening. Some of you remember the trailer days!
“Before Swinomish, I came up as a Graffiti Writer/Emcee/ B-boy/ Producer. During my time as an active B-boy I got into a battle that resulted in fractured tibia. It didn’t heal properly, resulting in chronic pain in my leg that almost Crippled me. I found that Cannabis helped me to stay active and walk every extra mile I couldn’t walk on my own.
